The audit

How we verified each claim.

Third-party code
✓ NONE
Every feature — station search, audio playback, favorites — is built on Apple's native iOS frameworks. No external libraries, no wrapper SDKs, no dependencies pulled from third-party sources.
Trackers
✓ NONE
A full source scan was run for every major tracker in the industry — analytics, crash reporting, advertising, attribution, and identity-resolution frameworks. Zero matches.
Permissions
✓ NONE
The app requests no permissions from iOS. No location, no microphone, no camera, no contacts, no photos, no health data. It runs with the minimum system access iOS allows.
Network calls
✓ FUNCTIONAL ONLY
Three network destinations are contacted, all required for the app to work:
· A public, community-maintained directory of radio stations (for search)
· A read-only curated list of featured stations
· The individual broadcaster servers you request audio from
No ad exchanges. No analytics endpoints. No telemetry.
Apple Privacy Manifest
✓ CORRECT
Apple requires every iOS app to declare its data practices. Ours declares no tracking, no tracking domains, no collected data types, and only the minimum required API usage for on-device storage of your favorites.
Entitlements
✓ NONE
No special system capabilities are enabled. Nothing is accessed beyond what the base iOS app sandbox permits.
Don't trust us. Verify us.

Three ways to check these claims yourself.

01

Read the App Store Privacy Label

Apple publicly displays every app's data collection practices. Ours says "Data Not Collected" — because that is what our Privacy Manifest declares.

02

Audit with Exodus Privacy

Exodus Privacy is an independent non-profit that scans mobile apps for embedded trackers. Run it against Transistor Radio yourself.

03

Inspect the network traffic

Use a proxy tool like Proxyman or Charles to see exactly what the app sends. You will only see the functional endpoints listed above — nothing else.

Try Proxyman

Verified privacy isn't a marketing claim.

It's a technical fact. Transistor Radio is live radio, done right — with nothing hidden underneath.
